Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, confirmed that the state is making significant efforts to control markets by intensifying inspection and control campaigns on markets, shops, and commercial activities to protect citizens' rights, regulate markets, and take legal action against violators.
For his part, Mr. Abdel Karim Awadallah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Sharkia, explained that the directorate continues to launch successive strikes, in coordination with the Supply Investigations Department, the Health and Veterinary Medicine Directorate, and the Consumer Protection Agency, to control markets, combat smuggling and stockpiling of goods for resale on the black market, and apprehend those manipulating the prices of subsidized goods and trading in spoiled and expired goods.
During the month of April, the Supply Directorate launched a number of surprise supply and control campaigns on markets and shops to tighten control over buying and selling within the governorate.
