Eng. Hazem El Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, attended the inauguration of the Economic Council for Businesswomen in Al-Sharkia Governorate, which is held under the auspices of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and at the initiative of Al-Sharkia Chamber of Commerce, in presence of Eng. Mohamed El Zahed, Chairman of Al-Sharkia Chamber of Commerce Board, Ms. Reem Siam, Head of the Economic Council for Businesswomen at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the Alexandria Chamber and others.
The Governor of Al-Sharkia explained that Egyptian women represent the basis of society and have always been a focus of attention from the political leadership, as have witnessed support and empowerment from the Egyptian state at all levels, which reflects the Egyptian government's commitment in achieving equality and promoting women's rights.
The Governor added that empowering women contributes in strengthening the economic and social development plans, as women have become independent entities, seeking out and implementing real projects to meet their needs and they have become an effective tool in the society.
