Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, and Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Hamed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Awqaf, followed up on the Directorate's preparations to receive citizens for Eid al-Fitr prayers. They ensured that mosques and prayer areas were prepared and that cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization were carried out to preserve the health and safety of worshippers.
The Governor of Sharkia praised the efforts of the Ministry of Awqaf to promote religious discourse and disseminate the tolerant teachings of the religion, as well as its fruitful cooperation with the Governorate in providing all forms of support to the most needy groups in various villages and centers, enabling them to live dignified lives. He also commended the role of the Sharkia Awqaf Directorate in spreading the tolerant teachings of Islam, based on moderation and balance, as well as the work of renovating and refurbishing houses of God, completing all procedures related to furnishing and furnishing mosques, and intensifying the religious and national role in serving the Islamic call.
For his part, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Hamed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, indicated that as part of the directorate's preparations for Eid al-Fitr, 5,000 mosques, which are administratively and religiously supervised by the directorate, have been equipped, along with 796 prayer halls located in youth centers, school yards, and vacant lots. These have been inspected and found to be suitable for Eid al-Fitr prayers. 1,592 imams and preachers, accredited and authorized by the Ministry of Endowments (primary and reserve), have been assigned to each mosque and prayer hall to lead the Eid prayers. He noted that the ministry has established several controls for the performance of Eid al-Fitr prayers. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments added that a main operations room has been formed within the directorate and a subsidiary one within its affiliated departments to monitor the implementation of all instructions received from the Ministry of Endowments, monitor any violations, and address them in accordance with legal procedures. |
