Coinciding with the approaching holy month of Ramadan ... Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Al Sharkia, inaugurated “Welcome Ramadan” Exhibition in Al-Hussainiya City, which is held in cooperation between the governorate, the Directorate of Supply and Internal Trade, and the Presidency of the Center in front of the City Council on an area of 650 m to provide all the families' needs of basic food commodities at reduced prices.
The governor inspected the exhibition pavilions, which include 14 stalls containing all the basic commodities that citizens need in their daily lives, including fresh meat, oils, sugar, rice, pasta, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, and various food commodities, in addition to Ramadan yamish which are available at reduced prices to suit all segments of society.
Due to the increasing demand for purchases, the Governor of Sharkia decided to reduce some types of goods and vegetables such as flour, tomatoes, peanuts, clothes and shoes, in order to facilitate the citizens who expressed their happiness with the opening of the exhibition and the offering of goods to them at prices lower than their counterparts in the free markets.
El-Ashmouny assigned the Director of the Field Follow-up Department to follow up on all Welcome Ramadan exhibitions spread across the various centers and cities of the governorate and to ensure that merchants adhere to the announced prices throughout the exhibition period and prevent any violations or exploitation of citizens in order to ensure the benefit of holding these exhibitions.
At the end of the opening, the governor explained that the organization of Welcome Ramadan exhibitions is being completed in the rest of the centers and cities of the governorate to provide various food commodities, vegetables, fruits and meat at reduced prices for citizens, indicating that the executive agencies follow up on prices daily to ensure compliance with the specified discounts and prevent any attempts to monopolize or manipulate prices.
The governor then headed to open "Welcome Ramadan" exhibition in Manshiyat Abu Omar, which is located next to the city’s police station on an area of 500m2 and includes 10 stalls containing all goods, food items and Ramadan sweets at a discount rate ranging from 25 to 30%. |
