Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Al Sharkia, witnessed the launch of the "Long Live Egypt" Fund, Doors of Goodness Convoys to support needy families on the occasion of the approaching holy month of Ramadan, as well as the comprehensive humanitarian aid convoy to support our brothers in the Gaza Strip, in the presence of Lieutenant General Eng. Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, Minister of Industry and Transport, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development Affairs, Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development, Dr. Maya Morsi, Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Mr. Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Mr. Tamer Abdel Fattah, Executive Director of the Long Live Egypt Fund, and a group of governors and officials of institutions Civil work.
The governor of Sharkia, the ministers and the attendees witnessed the alignment of trucks and humanitarian aid convoys consisting of 460 trucks carrying more than 7,200 tons of aid in the People's Square in the New Administrative Capital in preparation for their departure to the governorates and the Gaza Strip to ease the burden on the shoulders of those in need and provide them with all necessary care.
Al Sharkia Governor explained that the governorate's participation in preparing relief aid convoys heading to the Gaza Strip comes within the framework of the concerted efforts between the Ministries of Local Development and Social Solidarity, civil society institutions, businessmen and donors, as well as the sincere and diligent Egyptian efforts aimed at rebuilding the sector and establishing the foundations of stability and supporting deserving families in various governorates in conjunction with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan, stressing the governorate's continuation in providing all forms of support, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to ensure the continuation of relief efforts and meet the necessary needs of the residents of Gaza.
The governor appreciated the efforts of the political leadership and all participating parties from ministries, governorates, civil society institutions and volunteers participating in this great humanitarian work, stressing that these efforts come as a continuation and support of Egypt's firm and steadfast position towards the cause and towards the sons of the Palestinian people, calling on God Almighty to protect Egypt and its people from all harm and evil and to bless the Egyptian people with more security, stability and prosperity.
