Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Al Sharkia, conducted an inspection tour of Diarb Negm Center to follow up on the performance rates and implementation rates of the paving and development projects being implemented and to remove any obstacles to complete the projects and put them into actual service as soon as possible.
The governor began his tour by inspecting the paving works of the Diarb El-Souq / Safour Road, with a length of 4.5 km and a cost of 22 million pounds, implemented in two phases. The first phase includes the restoration of the original road with a length of 3.5 km and a cost of 7 million pounds, and the second phase includes paving works for a distance of 1.5 km, and the establishment of a box section "section box" with a length of 60 m under the regional road at a total cost of 15 million pounds.
Al Sharkia Governor assigned the head of Diarb Negm Center to prepare a study to investigate the possibility of establishing a parking lot in the area after linking the Diarb El-Souq / Safour Road to the regional road to serve the residents of 20 villages in Diarb Negm Center.
The governor inspected the paving, upgrading and expansion works of the Jamiza Bani Amr / Al-Dabighiya Canal Road, which is being implemented in two phases. The first phase includes restoration works with a length of 2.5 km, and the second phase is 3.5 km long and an average width of 8 m, at a total cost of 24 million pounds. The Governor of Sharkia assigned the head of Diarb Negm Center and City to start building concrete foundations for the lighting poles located on the road right-of-way, while carrying out urgent maintenance works in order to preserve lives and property.
The governor also stressed the head of Diarb Negm Center, in coordination with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Roads and Transport, to follow up on the companies assigned to implement the ongoing works on the roads and oblige them to apply the standard specifications and the specified timetable so that the roads contribute relieving traffic congestion, improving the infrastructure and providing the best services to citizens.
