The governor stressed that the successful experience of Dr. Manal Awad represents a model to be emulated in leadership and local management, stressing that Dr. Manal Awad is a model of pride for every Egyptian woman, as she is the first woman to hold the position of Minister of Local Development and was chosen among the top 50 influential women for the year 2018 and the most prominent inspiring female figures in the Arab world.. She received the UNESCO Learning Cities Award in 2017, noting that this honor is not only a personal honor, but rather a culmination of the state's efforts in supporting development plans and working in a team spirit to improve the lives of citizens in various governorates. Al Sharkia Governor added that Dr. Manal Awad is an honorable model of dedication to work, as she proved through her distinguished performance that successful leadership is based on dedication and hard work in order to serve the nation and the citizen, and she was able, with her wisdom and determination, to achieve tangible achievements on the ground, and reflects the spirit of commitment that we aspire to in all state officials.
