Eng. Hazem El Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, made an inspection tour of Abu Kabir Center to follow up on the performance and implementation rates of the sewage projects currently being implemented and to remove any obstacles to complete the projects that have been stalled for many years and put them into actual service as soon as possible in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Nehme Kojak, Assistant Secretary General of the Governorate, Eng. Iman Mohamed Refaat, Head of the Executive Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation Projects at the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Sharkia, Eng. Amer Kamal Aw Halawa, Head of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, Mr. Sayed Abdel Razek, Head of Abu Kabir Center and City, Representative Abdullah Lashin and Representative Nabil Askar, members of the House of Representatives, and residents.

The governor began his tour by inspecting the project to establish a lifting station, slope networks, and expulsion lines for the village of Al-Ahraz, affiliated to the presidency of Abu Kabir Center and City, to check on the performance rates and implementation rates and to push the wheel of work on the project to quickly put it into service and provide a safe and sound sewage project for citizens.

Eng. Iman Mohamed Refaat, Head of the Executive Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation Projects at the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Sharkia, gave a detailed explanation to the Governor of Sharkia about the executive status of the project.

It was noted that the project consists of a lifting station, a discharge line, and a slope network to serve the residents of Al-Ahraz village as part of the project to establish an integrated sewage system for the villages of Al-Ahraz and Abu Yassin at a total cost of 100 million pounds.

Al-Sharkia Governor headed to Abu Yassin village, affiliated to the presidency of Abu Kabir Center and City, to check the performance rates and implementation percentages of the village sanitation project and learn from the head of the executive body for drinking water and sanitation projects at the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Sharkia about the components of the project.

Governor of Al-Sharkia has assigned the head of the executive body for drinking water and sanitation projects at the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Sharkia, in coordination with the head of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, to quickly complete urgent maintenance work and clean the slope networks and expulsion lines in an integrated sanitation project for the villages of Al-Ahraz and Abu Yassin and to start contracting with citizens to install home connections within a month in preparation for operating the project, putting it into actual service and achieving benefits from it.
