Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Al Sharkia, participated in the activities of the ninth edition of the Stock Exchange Development Conference, held in cooperation between the governorate and the Egyptian Stock Exchange, under the patronage of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister Al Sharkia Governor delivered a speech in which he welcomed the visit of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Stock Exchange to the governorate, stressing that this visit represents a distinct opportunity to enhance the frameworks of joint cooperation and support national efforts in the field of development and investment, as the governorate represents a fertile environment for investment, due to its wide opportunities in the fields of agriculture, industry and tourism. The governor added that Sharkia Governorate, with its resources and capabilities, always seeks to be an effective partner in achieving Egypt's vision for sustainable development, saying we are fully aware of the vital role played by the Egyptian Stock Exchange as a leading economic platform that supports growth, enhances investment opportunities, and contributes to driving the wheel of development. While Mr. Ahmed El Sheikh explained the role of the Egyptian Stock Exchange in promoting the national economy, supporting economic entities and consolidating financial culture among various groups, pointing out that the offering on the stock exchange contributes to protecting companies and provides the necessary governance to achieve progress and sustainable growth, calling on owners of ambitious companies and projects to join the stock exchange in order to ensure the continuity of their projects and develop them and support the national economy. The Chairman of the Egyptian Stock Exchange stressed the keenness of the stock exchange administration to spread financial culture among university students by providing lectures and preparing and distributing educational materials for university students on the principles of the stock exchange and investment and the possibility of application using the stock exchange simulation model (STOCKRIDERS), and he also praised the work strategy adopted by Zagazig University to enhance ways of joint cooperation and achieve the optimal use of available capabilities. In his speech, Prof. Dr. Khaled El Darandali, chancellor of Zagazig University, expressed his happiness at holding the conference and signing the cooperation protocol with the Egyptian Stock Exchange, pointing out that the university seeks to empower students with financial knowledge, through educational and training programs that help them make informed investment decisions. The conference activities witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between Zagazig University and the Egyptian Stock Exchange to spread financial culture among students, and provide specialized training programs aimed at enhancing financial awareness and encouraging them to invest their savings in a safe financial environment, as well as developing students' understanding of investment principles, which contributes to preparing a new generation of young people looking forward to economic success. At the conclusion of the conference activities, the discussion was opened for attendees to ask questions and inquiries related to how to offer shares on the Egyptian Stock Exchange and the principles of investment in the Egyptian Stock Exchange. The head of the Stock Exchange answered the attendees' inquiries, explaining the basic steps of the offering process, starting from the conditions for listing on the Stock Exchange, and ending with how companies prepare for offering operations, in a way that ensures transparency and enhances investor confidence.
