Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Al Sharkia, stressed the importance of the role played by information and decision support centers and their contribution to developing the appropriate vision and monitoring reality to support decision-makers and choose appropriate decisions to serve the public interest and provide the best services to citizens.
The governor welcomed the visit of the delegation of the Information and Decision Support Center of the Cabinet to the governorate, stressing the governorate's keenness to raise the efficiency of the human element and qualify the necessary young cadres in various fields, which contributes to improving and completing the services provided to citizens.
During the meeting, and in continuation of enhancing aspects of cooperation between the governorate and the Information and Decision Support Center of the Cabinet, the signing of the cooperation protocol was renewed to support the electronic management system of the institution known as (institutional memory), which is responsible for monitoring and developing internal administrative performance and supporting the process of implementing the digital transformation system in the governorate in all sectors, in line with Egypt's Vision 2030 to achieve sustainable development.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Moaty, Deputy Governor, praised the cooperation protocol signed between the governorate and the Information and Decision Support Center of the Cabinet for the governorate and supporting the institutional memory system to convert paper files into electronic ones, noting that the governorate during 2021 AD, after signing the protocol, completed the archiving of 300 thousand documents to reach today the archiving of 5 million documents at the level of centers, cities and rural local units, which contributed to developing the administrative work method within the institution and linking departments and sectors within the institution with its human and administrative resources, as well as building the knowledge stock in the institution and maximizing the benefit from the knowledge accumulation, pointing out that the governorate won the awards for the best successful development experiences and the best application of an institutional memory system during 2021 AD during the Information Centers Competition.
During the meeting, the "Information Centers and Decision Support in the Governorates" competition, which is implemented annually by the Cabinet, was reviewed. The Resources and Data Officer at the Information and Decision Support Center at the Cabinet explained its objective and the categories eligible to participate in it, in addition to defining each of its six axes (Information Centers and Decision Support in the Governorates Competition - Best Field Monitoring Teams in the Governorates- Evaluation of Successful Development Experiences in the Governorates- Best Governorate in Documenting National Projects with Pictures- Evaluation of Decision Support Studies- Localization of Systems and Technology Transfer) as well as the related organizing instructions.
At the end of the meeting, El-Ashmouny assigned the Director of the General Administration of Information Systems and Digital Transformation at the General Diwan to prepare a report detailing the data of field monitoring workers and their efficiency in work at the level of centers, cities and neighborhoods with the aim of maximizing the benefit from them in improving the work system to be in a scientific and organized manner, as well as interacting positively with citizens to improve the level of services provided to them.
