Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Al Sharkia, and Dr. Ayman El-Shehabi, Governor of Damietta, inaugurated Damietta Furniture Occasion Exhibition in its 14th session, which was held in cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce in Sharkia and Damietta on an area of 1200 m on Tolba Owida Street, an extension of Salah Salem Road in Zagazig City, to display and sell home furniture. El-Ashmouny and El-Shehabi inspected the exhibition pavilions, which were held with the participation of 20 exhibitors from furniture factories and workshops in Damietta Governorate, and includes a large number of the finest types of home furniture, bedrooms, dining rooms, home decor and furniture accessories with discounts of up to 30% throughout the exhibition period to provide an opportunity for those about to get married and those wishing to renovate their homes to choose between many models at competitive prices that meet the needs of the public. The governor praised the level of the various exhibits, which included a distinguished group of modern and contemporary furniture, expressing his aspiration to continue the partnership with Damietta Governorate and hold furniture exhibitions in various centers and cities of the governorate, which comes within the framework of the governorate's keenness to encourage this national industry and promote it and preserve the skilled manual expertise that Damietta Governorate is famous for. While Dr. Ayman Al-Shahabi, Governor of Damietta, expressed his happiness to participate in the opening of the exhibition, which reflects the progress of the furniture industry in Damietta Governorate as a testament to the creativity and ability of our national industry to compete and develop, stressing that the state pays great attention to encourage existing industries, including the furniture industry, and providing all the necessary support for it to occupy an advanced position at the regional and international levels to achieve sustainable development and raise the standard of living of owners of craft and heritage industries. The governor of Damietta added: "the exhibition is a unique opportunity to shed light on the furniture industry in Damietta Governorate and support the efforts made by the state to localize this national industry, advance it, and open new marketing horizons for furniture products in various governorates of the Republic", noting that the exhibition activities extend from October 9 to 31, where the exhibition opens its doors to the public daily from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm".
