Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, and Prof. Dr. Khaled El-Drandali, President of Zagazig University, witnessed the celebration of Zagazig University to receive old and new students on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2024/2025, which is organized by the General Administration of Student Care in cooperation with the University Student Union and the Students for Egypt family, in the presence of Dr. Jihan Youssef, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Ihab El-Beblawy, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Acting Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, Military Advisor to the Governorate, Dr. Hilal Afifi, Secretary General of the University and Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, Dr. Ahmed Anani, Advisor to the President of the University for Student Activities, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Deans of Faculties, Vice Deans, Faculty Members and their Assistants, a number of Directors of Service Directorates, and male and female students.

Governor of Al-Sharkia delivered a speech in which he expressed his happiness to participate in Zagazig University's celebration to receive old and new students, wishing his sons and daughters, the university students, a happy new academic year, stressing the need for cooperation, interaction, integration and participation in various student activities at the university, as well as perseverance to achieve success, excellence and graduation from the university to participate in building and developing the country.

Governor of Al-Sharkia confirmed to his students that real success comes through cooperation and integration with faculty members and colleagues to achieve excellence and success, saying, "You are in a new era of university education in which you are required to persevere and learn about everything new, praising the role of the university in implementing and supporting development plans in all service and development sectors to improve the level of services provided to the people of the governorate.

For his part, the President of Zagazig University welcomed the visit of the Governor of Sharkia to Zagazig University and his participation in the university's celebration of the new academic year, thanking him and appreciating his tangible efforts in improving all services provided to citizens of the governorate. The President of the University added that today's celebration comes to welcome new students to start a new journey towards a promising future
