Eng. Hazem El Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, concluded his shuttle tour of Kafr Saqr and Awlad Saqr centers by inspecting and following up on the performance rates and implementation rates of the project to establish Kafr El Faraiha treatment station in Awlad Saqr center, which is scheduled to operate at a design capacity of 5000 m3/day using the bio block system at a cost of 127 million and 476 thousand pounds, in order to provide a safe sanitation project for 25 thousand of the center's citizens.

Eng. Amer Kamal Abu Halawa, Chairman of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, gave a detailed explanation to the Governor of Al-Sharkia about the components of the project.

 While Eng. Mohamed Emad, Project Manager, explained that the station consists of the entrance, the filters and the sand removal unit.

The Governor assigned the Head of Awlad Saqr Center to expand and pave the road that leads to the station, as well as to coordinate with the Head of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company to follow up on the companies which implement the works and oblige them to implement the technical specifications and the specified timetable to quickly complete the works in order for the project to start.

The governor was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Moati and Eng. Lobna Abdel-Aziz, Deputies Governor, Mr. Mohamed Kajak, Assistant Secretary-General, Eng. Amer Kamal Abu Halawa, head of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, Eng. Iman Mohamed Refaat, head of the executive system for drinking water and sanitation projects in Al-Sharkia, Mr. Mohamed El-Sawah, head of Awlad Saqr Center and Eng. Fathi Bandari, head of the projects and international cooperation sector at the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company.
