Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Al Sharkia, headed to follow up on the progress of work at the comprehensive health insurance clinic in Kafr Saqr and to monitor the level of health and treatment services provided to beneficiaries, as well as launching the activities of the presidential initiative for early detection and treatment of cancerous tumors
The governor began his tour of the clinic by inspecting the physical therapy department, which includes the latest medical rehabilitation devices, and reassured the health condition of those visiting it and reviewed the medical record of the cases, stressing the clinic director's good reception of patients and providing them with a distinguished health and treatment service.
El-Ashmouny was also keen to inspect the dental clinic, installations and laboratories, stressing the need to carry out periodic maintenance work on the tools and devices used, as well as maintenance of the clinic's facilities from drinking water and sanitation to ensure the sustainability of providing the service in the required manner.
Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny launched the activities of the presidential initiative for early detection and treatment of cancerous tumors for the first time in Sharkia Governorate, which comes within the plan of the second phase of the presidential initiative 100 days of health to improve the level of health care and provide integrated medical services to citizens, stressing the provision of all forms of material and logistical support to implement and achieve the campaign's target.
For his part, Dr. Hani Gimah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, explained that the presidential initiative for early detection and treatment of cancerous tumors is being implemented in 359 health units in 19 health departments in Al Sharkia, and through it, cancer (lung, prostate, colon, cervical) is detected for free, and the presidential initiative aims to examine citizens aged 18 years and over, with the aim of detecting tumors in the early stages and treating them.
While Dr. Reda El-Deeb, Director General of the Health Insurance Authority Branch in Sharkia, pointed out that the comprehensive health insurance clinic in Kafr Saqr provides its services to more than 152,775 beneficiaries within the scope of the center and includes 18 clinics in various medical specialties, stressing the continuation of cooperation and coordination with the Health Directorate and harnessing all available capabilities in the clinic to implement the presidential initiative for early detection and treatment of cancerous tumors, thanking Al Sharkia Governor for his continuous and permanent support for the health system in the governorate.
