Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, confirmed that Zagazig University represents a home for knowledge and experience and is a unique model for every successful work due to its qualified scientific cadres, as he expressed his happiness for joining as a member of the University Council.

This was after he joined the Council of Zagazig University and participated in its first meeting, chaired by Professor Dr. Khaled Al-Dirandali, President of the University and in presence of Dr. Atef Hussein, Vice President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Jihan Yousry, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs, Dr. Ihab El-Beblawi, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Hilal Afifi, Secretary General of the University, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and the deans of the faculties, in the conference hall at Zagazig University.

At the beginning of his speech, the Governor stressed the continuation of cooperation and coordination between the executive branch and Zagazig University to benefit from the scientific expertise in developing plans and providing the necessary scientific and technical consultations to implement the development projects.

From his side, the President of Zagazig University congratulated the Governor of Al-Sharkia on the confidence of the political leadership and his new position as Governor Al-Sharkia and his appointment as an experienced member of the University Council, wishing him continued success.

The meeting began by approving the previous University Council meeting, followed by discussing the Council’s agenda, which included topics related to the educational process and students, in order to take the appropriate decisions to achieve the public interest.

At the end of the meeting, the President of Zagazig University and the Dwan of Faculty of Medicine thanked the Governor of Al-Sharkia for his effort to overcome all the obstacles that may face the implementation of the new projects in the university health sector that contribute to improve the level of health and treatment services that are provided to the patients.
