In his first meeting with the governors after the announcement of the new government formation, the Prime Minister confirmed that the societal issues are among the priorities of the governors’ daily work, as he stressed the necessity of the daily follow-up and intensifying supervision of the markets and dealing decisively with the attempts of smuggle goods to sell them in the black market.

Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, assigned the heads of centers, cities, and neighborhoods, in coordination with the managers of the supply departments, to intensify the daily monitor on all the markets, commercial stores, outlets, fixed and mobile exhibitions, to ensure the availability of the basic and strategic goods in all outlets, with the need to coordinate with the major merchants to ensure the availability of the largest amount of goods in the markets continuously, in addition to visit the bakeries to follow up on their work progress and ensuring the cleanliness of the tools and equipment which are used in preparing bread, as well as ensuring the safety of scales and the loaf is provided according to the ration specifications.

In implementation of the governor’s instructions, the heads of the governorate’s centers, cities and neighborhoods (Zagazig - First District - Abu Kabir - Belbeis - San Al-Hajar) went to the commercial stores to ensure the availability and suitability of the goods and adherence to the prices, as well as ensure about the production of a good loaf and to take the legal procedures against the non-compliant people.
