Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, confirmed that the Egyptian state pays great attention to the agricultural sector through implementing many expanded projects in planting the strategic crops, as he praised the efforts of farmers in cultivating the wheat crop and achieving the Egyptian food security as being the basic food item for most of people.

From her side, Ms. Fayza Abdel Rahman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, clarified that the amount of Wheat that has been supplied today is 615,643 tons and 413 kilos of wheat to the storage sites within the governorate.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Al-Sharkia indicated that the owners of the private sector mills and those who are responsible for their management should manage their needs from the imported wheat and they are prohibited from using the local wheat during the marketing season except with permission from the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Al-Sharkia added; the need to ensure that the Canvas bags should be fumigated before using them as well as the storage tools and to ensure that there is no insect infestation.
