Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, confirmed the regularity of work in the local wheat crop supply system in all the storage sites in the governorate, which in turn works regularly to collect and store the wheat crop from the suppliers and farmers since the beginning of the wheat supply season for the current year 2024 AD, as the total amount of wheat that has been supplied so far has reached 615,371 tons and 155 kilograms of local wheat.

The governor pointed out the importance of concerted efforts to follow up on the executive position of the local wheat supply, determine the target rates and percentages, obstacles to their implementation, daily follow-up, intensify the monitoring campaigns on wheat movement, ensure the regularity of the supply works and monitor the state of storage in the silos.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply in Al-Sharkia added that the supplied wheat is stored in intact jute bags and on wooden pallets and covered with tarpaulins and covers.
