Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Governor of Al-Sharkia, confirmed that the Egyptian state pays great attention to the agricultural sector by implementing many projects to expand the cultivation of strategic crops, as he praised the efforts of farmers in cultivating the wheat crop and achieving the Egyptian food security as it is a basic food item for most of the people on earth.

On her side, Ms. Fayza Abdel Rahman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply, clarified that the total amount of what has been supplied of Wheat today reached 110,824 tons and 387 kilograms to the storage sites in the governorate.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply explained the need for the marketing agencies to commit to the immediate payment to farmers who supplies the wheat of 2024 harvest season, within a maximum of 48 hours from the date of receipt.

In this context, Engineer Hussein Ahmed Talaat, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, explained that the harvesting wheat has reached 119,933 acres so far, noting that the area of wheat which is planted this year reached 394,146 acres, pointing to the need for the farmers to supply the wheat to the silos in order to prevent any wasted Wheat, as he emphasized that the state spares no effort in providing all the facilities to the farmers from the beginning of the harvest until the supply of the crop.
