Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Al-Sharkia Governor, and Major General A.H. Medhat Abdel Aziz Fawi, Director of the Association of Veterans and War Victims, witnessed the celebration of the Armed Forces and the Association of Veterans and War Victims honoring the families of the martyrs of the armed forces and the injured in war operations. The governor stressed that the Armed Forces will continue to honor the generosity and sacrifices of its sons, generation after generation. The generation of the protective shield for Egypt and the impenetrable fortress of its security, stability, and safety of its people. They present every day a unique model of work and giving with all honesty and honor. They preserve the security of the nation and protect its principles and stability in the complete belief that Egypt’s national security must not be neglected, no matter the sacrifices. The governor added that our celebration today honoring the families of the martyrs and those injured in military operations came to reflect the position of the martyr in the nation’s supremacy and glory, thus immortalizing the memory of every martyr in the memory of the nation and its children. It confirms that the martyr is the protecting shield of the nation, and that the sacrifices of our brave soldiers who received the honor of martyrdom are redemption for the nation, victory for the truth, relief for the afflicted, and satisfaction of the needy. The call of sacred duty has been appreciated by the nation throughout the ages. For his part, the Director of the Association of Veterans and War Victims stressed that the Egyptian Armed Forces will not forget their righteous martyrs who sacrificed their smart blood and gave their pure souls in defense of the security and stability of the country, raising the slogan of victory or martyrdom, stressing that their fragrant memory will remain side by side with the sacrifices of those wounded in operations in the fight against brutal terrorism, confronting it is an example of sacrifice and redemption to preserve the pride and dignity of the nation. The celebration also witnessed standing for a minute of silence in memory of the souls of the nation’s martyrs, whose sacrifices will remain immortal in the record of heroism and honor and as shining beacons from which future generations will draw inspiration from the meanings of sacrifice and redemption for the nation. During the celebration, the governor and the Director of the Association honored (10) families of the martyrs of the armed forces and the injured in war operations, by granting them sums of money in honor of the sacrifices and heroism made by them to maintain the security and stability of the nation. The celebration concluded with the exchange of memorial shields between the governor and the Director of the Association in appreciation of the role of each of them in providing support and care to the families of martyrs and the injured in war operations.
