Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, sent a cable of congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the glorious October War victory of 1973. This event remains one of the greatest chapters in Egyptian history and an enduring symbol of the Armed Forces' sacrifices, as well as the valor and determination of the Egyptian people to reclaim their land and dignity.

The text of the cable reads as follows:

"It gives me great pleasure to convey to Your Excellency—on my own behalf and on behalf of the executive body and the people of Sharqia Governorate—my heartfelt congratulations on the 53rd anniversary of the glorious October War victory. This immortal national epic embodied the greatness of the Egyptian people's will and the valor of their Armed Forces; a victory in which the heroes of the Armed Forces succeeded in crossing the Suez Canal, shattering the Bar-Lev Line, and restoring national dignity. This anniversary remains a shining milestone in the nation's history, a source of pride and honor for generations, and an impetus to continue the journey of construction and development."

"As we celebrate this cherished national anniversary, we renew our pledge to Your Excellency to continue working diligently for the advancement of the nation and the preservation of its assets. We pray to the Almighty to bring this occasion back to Your Excellency with abundant health and continued success, and to our beloved Egypt with greater security, stability, progress, and prosperity." The Governor of Sharqia also sent similar congratulatory cables to Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly; General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production; Lieutenant General Ahmed Fathy Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; and Dr. Manal Awad, Minister of Local Development and Environment, as well as to the commanders of the main branches of the Armed Forces. In these messages, he expressed his sincere congratulations on this glorious national occasion, affirming that the October victories will remain a testament to the greatness of the Egyptian army and the will of the people, and a symbol of devotion and sacrifice for the sake of the homeland.
