Eng. Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, inaugurated the hemodialysis unit in Shubra Al-Nakhlah affiliated with the Belbeis Health Administration following the completion of development, capacity upgrades, and medical equipment installation. The project, costing a total of 14 million EGP, was realized through cooperation with civil society and support from the Ministry of Health and Population. This initiative aligns with state efforts to enhance the healthcare system and improve medical services for citizens, coinciding with Sharkia Governorate’s 145th National Day celebrations.

The Governor inspected the new hemodialysis unit and received a detailed briefing from Dr. Ahmed Al-Baili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, regarding the upgrades and equipment. Dr. Al-Baili explained that the number of dialysis machines was increased from 26 to 37. Additionally, a new water treatment unit was installed alongside the renovation of the existing one, and three new halls plus a dedicated patient reception area were established. These improvements—achieved through civil society collaboration and Ministry support providing the new machines—enhance the unit's readiness to receive patients and deliver dialysis services in accordance with the highest quality standards.

Governor of Sharqia inspected the hemodialysis unit to ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of operations, emphasizing the necessity of regular maintenance for devices and equipment to prolong their service life. He also met with patients to check on the quality of healthcare and treatment they were receiving, directing that all their needs and required care be met and that the service standards be continuously monitored to ensure the provision of dignified, high-quality healthcare for patients visiting the unit.
