Eng. Hazem El Ashmouny, Governor of Al-Sharkia, inaugurated three basic and secondary schools in Faqous at a total cost of EGP 68.884 million, as part of the governorate’s National Day celebrations and ongoing efforts to expand educational facilities and provide students with a suitable learning environment.
The Governor began his tour by inaugurating Khaled Mohamed Salah Basic Education School in Kafr Gabara, covering 1,339 sqm and comprising 11 classrooms, at a cost of EGP 19.437 million.
He then inaugurated Awlad Abdeen Basic Education School in El-Demien Village, covering 2,200 sqm and comprising 22 classrooms, at a cost of EGP 25.609 million. During his visit, the Governor checked with students that they had received their textbooks from the first day of school as part of the “Receive Your Books and Know Your Class” initiative, and encouraged them to work hard and remain committed to their studies.
The tour concluded with the inauguration of Mit Al-Ezz Secondary School in El-Demien Village, covering 1,823 sqm and comprising 15 classrooms and various educational facilities, at a cost of EGP 23.841 million.
The Governor praised the efforts of teachers, students, and parents in supporting the educational process and stressed the importance of cooperation among all parties to ensure quality education. He also met with local residents, listened to their requests, and directed the relevant authorities to address their concerns within available resources.
The Governor expressed his appreciation to citizens who donated land for the construction of schools, highlighting the important role of community participation in supporting the State’s efforts to improve education and quality of life.
