Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, attended a ceremony organized by the Popular and Military Defense Forces Command (the Governorate’s Military Advisor Office) in cooperation with the Directorate of Education. The event honored school students who won the "Reading Knights of the October Victory" competition, as well as honoring number of commissioned officers who achieved first place in the "Most Efficient Technical Secondary School with Military Foundation" competition at the Governorate General Diwan meeting hall. The ceremony was attended by both Deputy Governor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Moati and Engineer Lobna Abdel-Aziz; Assistant Secretary-General Mohamed Batisha; Military Advisor Brigadier General Ahmed Shaaban; Mr. Mohamed Ramadan Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Al-Sharkia,; along with leaders and officers of military education programs in military-foundation schools, the winning students and their families.
In his speech, the Governor of Al-Sharkia emphasized the governorate's strong commitment to fostering awareness among children and youth, reinforcing values of loyalty and national belonging and instilling a sense of pride in the history and heroism of the Egyptian Armed Forces. He noted that organizing cultural and national competitions contributes in developing the students' national consciousness and encourages them to conduct research and acquire knowledge, aligning with the state's vision of preparing informed generations capable of assuming responsibility.
