Al-Sharkia Governorate celebrates its 145th National Day, continuing its journey of progress and achievement, building upon a rich history and a present witnessing continuous developmental growth and a future shaped by national, developmental and service projects aimed at improving the quality of life for the citizens and enhancing the level of services which are provided to them in the governorate's various centers, cities and villages.

Governor Hazem El-Ashmouni announced the implementation of 1,026 projects at a cost of 41.8 billion Egyptian pounds during the period from July 2024 to 2026. This includes the completion of 464 projects at a cost of 12.6 billion pounds, as well as the completion of the ongoing works of 562 projects at a cost of 29.2 billion pounds across various service and development sectors. This reflects the state's significant focus on developing the governorate, improving its infrastructure and enhancing the level of services provided to citizens, which contribute in achieving the comprehensive and sustainable development in line with the vision of the new republic.

The governor explained that the implemented projects included 111 projects in the roads and bridges sector at a cost of 2 billion pounds, 107 projects in the educational buildings sector at a cost of 1.8 billion pounds, 32 sanitation projects at a cost of 2.2 billion pounds and 13 projects in the health sector at a cost of 400 million pounds.
