Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of AlSharkia, followed up with Engineer Ahmed Fawzy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Roads and Transport, on the progress of the paving, widening and dualization works of Abu Hakim/Mit Abu Ali/Bani Hilal road, leading to the Regional Ring Road. This is part of the governorate's plan to develop and improve the efficiency of the road network and enhance the level of the services which are provided to citizens. The project's key details include paving, widening and dualizing the Abu Hakim – Mit Abu Ali – Tahla Bardeen road, passing through the villages of Bani Hilal and Bani Saleh and reaching the Regional Ring Road exits. The total length is 20 kilometers, with an average width of 25 meters in each direction, at a total cost of 600 million Egyptian pounds. The paving and upgrading works on Bani Hilal road, leading to the Regional Ring Road, have been completed for a length of 13 kilometers in both directions, with an average of 6 traffic lanes, representing a 65% completion rate. Work shifts are being intensified to expedite the completion of the remaining works, in preparation for the project's completion and the road's opening to traffic according to the established schedule.
