Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia affirmed the governorate's commitment to remove all the encroachments from the streets and public squares through continuous field monitoring. This aims to enforce the street discipline, facilitate traffic flow and maintain a civilized appearance in all centers and cities of the governorate.

The governor indicated that the efforts of the executive bodies, in coordination with the on-site field monitoring teams, to remove the encroachments during the period from August 11 to 17, 2026, resulted the implementation of 4,643 executive procedures across the governorate's centers and cities. These measures included:

Removing 3,928 cases of encroachment and obstruction that were impeding traffic.

Detecting 521 various violations and encroachments and taking immediate actions against them.

Issuing 194 reports against the violators and taking all the necessary legal procedures against them.
