Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, held  a coordination meeting to discuss the upgrading and expansion of Abu El-Akhdar/Mit Abu-Ali Bridge in Zagazig district, as well as the construction of retaining walls in the deteriorated places of Abu El-Akhdar bridge, with 2.5 km long, which is being implemented by Sinai Development Authority, in presence of Engineer Ahmed Fawzy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Roads; Engineer Salah Barakat, Head of Al-Sharkia Electricity Sectors; Engineer Mohamed Qassem, Head of the Central Administration for Water Resources and Irrigation in Al-Sharkia; and Engineer Rania Abdel-Fattah, Head of Ismailia Region at Sinai Development Authority.

The governor instructed the head of Al-Sharakia Electricity Sectors to expedite the transfer of power cables which obstruct the works of the bridge expansion, thus enabling the swift completion of the tendering and awarding procedures and the start of the expansion project.

The governor also directed the head of the Central Irrigation Department to quickly issue the necessary licenses to begin implementing the construction of retaining walls in the dilapidated areas of Abu Al-Akhdar Bridge, with a length of 2.5 km, in preparation for starting the expansion and paving works of Mit Abu Ali - Tarout road leading to Minya Al-Qamh, which will contribute in achieving the traffic flow for the movement of cars and vehicles.
