Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, held an extensive meeting at his office, in order to discuss the progress of the rehabilitation work at Alaslouji wastewater treatment station in Zagazig, which is with a design capacity of 80,000 cubic meters per day and a cost of 80 million Egyptian pounds, ith an executive rate of 80% complete. The meeting was attended by Assistant Secretary-General Mohamed Batisha, Head of Zagazig City Mr. Shaaban Abu El-Fotouh, Head of Al-Sharkia Water and Wastewater Projects Executive Authority Iman Refaat, Company Chairman and Managing Director of Al-Sharkia Water and Wastewater Major General Mohamed Othman, Dr. Hosni Hegab, Director of the Technical Office and Projects Director of the Governorate and representatives from the companies which are implementing the projects.
The Governor stressed the need to remove any obstacles may face the completion of the rehabilitation work to expedite its operation to start the service, benefiting the residents of the villages of(El-Tahera, El-Ghar, Kafr Mohamed Hussein, Hiriya Razna, Alaslouji and Kafr Awad Allah Hegazi).
The governor directed the need for coordination between the representatives of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company and the implementing companies and the study of the necessary technical solutions to complete the implementation works of the project, in order to accelerate the pace of the work and start the actual service.
