Continuing his visit to Al-Sharkia Governorate….

Labor Minister Hassan El-Radad, accompanied by Al-Sharkia Governor Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni, inspected Utopia Pharmaceutical Industries Company in 10th of Ramadan City.

The factory, built on an area of 18,000 square meters with investments of approximately EGP 1.035 billion, was inspected as part of efforts to follow up on production activities, export capabilities, and the localization of pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The Minister and Governor were briefed by Dr. El-Saeed Kamel, Chairman of Utopia Pharmaceutical Industries, on the factory’s production lines, investments, and production capacity. The facility operates six production lines for tablets, hard capsules, syrups, powders, and packaging, employing around 1,292 workers.

The company’s strategy focuses on supporting the localization of pharmaceutical production, reducing reliance on imported finished medicines, increasing local components, and expanding exports. Local content in the company’s products reaches approximately 90%.

During the tour, the Minister and Governor reviewed various manufacturing stages and production lines, including tablet and capsule preparation and packaging, as well as syrup and pharmaceutical liquid filling lines.
