Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, witnessed the signing ceremony for the renewal of the cooperation protocol between the Orman Association and Al-Sharkia Water and Wastewater Company. He also presented a check for the estimated cost which is needed to complete the installation of drinking water meters for 53 underprivileged families in the city and district of El-Husayniyah. This initiative is part of the state's efforts to achieve the social protection and provide a kind life for the citizens.

The Governor affirmed that the civil society organizations and NGOs have become a key partner in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through their effective contributions in meeting the citizens' needs and alleviating the burdens on the most vulnerable families.

The governor praised the fruitful cooperation between the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company and the Orman Association in delivering clean drinking water to the underprivileged families without imposing any financial burden on them.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Solidarity explained that the directorate continues to cooperate with NGOs and the civil society organizations to care for the families most in need and breadwinners female, in order to improve the living standard of the citizens and provide them with a kind life.
