Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni Governor of Al-Sharkia inspected the ongoing expansion and rehabilitation works on the 2-kilometer-long, 15-meter-wide Bahr Mashtoul-Sharqia Mubasher road, located within Zagazig/Hehia district. The project, costing 30 million Egyptian pounds, aims to assess performance rates and progress, and expedite the work to ensure its timely completion and commissioning, He was accompanied by Engineer Ahmed Fawzy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Roads and Transport in Sharqia, and Mr. Shaaban Abu El-Fotouh, Head of Zagazig City Council.

Engineer Ahmed Fawzy provided the Governor with a detailed explanation of the project's implementation phases, clarifying that the expansion and rehabilitation works are underway on the 2-kilometer-long, 15-meter-wide Bahr Mashtoul-Sharqia Mubasher road within the Zagazig/Hehia district.

The project is being implemented in two phases: the first phase, costing 20 million Egyptian pounds, is scheduled for the 2025/2026 fiscal year, and the second phase, costing 10 million Egyptian pounds, is scheduled for the 2026/2027 fiscal year.

The foundation layer has been laid, 2 km long and with an average width of 15 meters, has been completed, as well as the implementation of an asphalt layer, 2.850 km long and with an average width of 7 meters, and the completion of the concrete curb works for the road duplication, at a total cost of 30 million pounds.
