Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, announced the upgrading of the governorate's infrastructure with new drainage systems and vehicles for pumping and removing rainwater from the streets and tunnels, at a total cost of 73 million Egyptian pounds. This initiative is part of the governorate's plan to improve the infrastructure efficiency and enhance the readiness of the executive bodies to deal with rainwater, thereby reducing water accumulation, ensuring smooth traffic flow and protecting citizens' safety.
