Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni Governor of Al-Sharkia received Major General Hesham Hosni Hassan, Commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces, and his accompanying delegation at his office in the governorate headquarters, This meeting took place prior to the launch of the joint practical training exercise "Saqr 169" for crisis and disaster response. The exercise, conducted in cooperation with the governorate's executive and security agencies and the Popular and Military Defense Forces, will run from June 29th to July 1st. Also present were Professor Khaled El-Darandaly, President of Zagazig University; Engineer Lobna Abdel Aziz, Deputy Governor; Major General Abdel Ghaffar El-Deeb, Secretary-General of the Governorate; Mr. Mohamed Batisha, Assistant Secretary-General of the Governorate; and Brigadier General Ahmed Shaaban, the governorate's military advisor.

Governor of Al-Sharkia emphasized that the training embodies the directives of the political leadership aimed at supporting the readiness of executive agencies and enhancing the efficiency of personnel, thereby contributing to the protection of lives and property and strengthening the state's institutions' ability to confront various challenges.

The commander of the Popular and Military Defense Forces indicated that the training aims to test the crisis management system practically, raise the efficiency of the participating elements, and ensure the readiness of human and technical capabilities, command and control mechanisms, and speed of decision-making, in order to enhance the ability of state institutions to confront various crises and emergencies efficiently and professionally.
