During his chairmanship of the Governorate Executive Council meeting, attended by council members, Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, instructed the heads of centers, cities, and districts to coordinate with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply and Consumer Protection, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, the Federation of Industries, and other relevant authorities to intensify inspection campaigns. This aims to tighten control over buying and selling activity in markets and to address any unjustified price increases in light of rising fuel prices, He also directed them to take all necessary legal measures against violators.
During the meeting, the Governor instructed the Undersecretaries of the Ministries of Supply and Agriculture to coordinate with the Supply Investigations Department to intensify monitoring campaigns related to the supply and receipt of the local wheat crop. This is to ensure compliance with regulations and prevent any supply operations outside of approved government silos and storage facilities.
The Governor emphasized to the Director of the General Directorate of Parking, in coordination with the Traffic Department, the importance of monitoring minibus drivers' adherence to the new fares. He also stressed the need to inventory all routes operating within each parking area and to prohibit any unlicensed routes from operating within those areas, This is to prevent the proliferation of informal parking areas, passenger pick-up outside designated areas, and to regulate the performance of routes both within and outside the governorate.
In a related context, the governor instructed the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Veterinary Medicine to ensure the operation of all the upgraded government slaughterhouses developed by the ministry, and to monitor the operation and periodic maintenance to guarantee sustainability, as part of the preparations for the upcoming Eid al-Adha holiday.
