Title:Al-Sharkia Governor is monitoring the wheat harvest and supply season for the year 2025/2026

As part of his commitment to on-site monitoring of the wheat harvest season and sharing in the farmers' joy, Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharqia, conducted an inspection tour this morning of a 24-feddan wheat field in the village of Hanna Marham, Abu Hammad district, The purpose of the tour was to ensure the smooth progress of the wheat harvest and delivery process, identify any obstacles facing farmers, and find immediate solutions.

From the heart of the fields, the Governor engaged in a dialogue with the farmers, emphasizing that supporting farmers is a firm priority within the executive branch's directives, recognizing them as essential partners in achieving agricultural development.

He explained that the state is committed to providing all necessary facilities for farmers, from planting through harvesting to delivery. He noted that the state-approved price for wheat deliveries aims to ensure a suitable economic return for farmers, affirming the state's high regard for wheat as a strategic crop directly linked to food security.

During his participation with farmers in the harvest, the governor was keen to listen to their opinions and observations regarding the current season, production rates, and the most prominent challenges they might face during the harvest and delivery phases. He emphasized providing all forms of support to farmers, creating a suitable environment for them, and preventing any obstacles that might affect the delivery and receiving process.

Governor of Al-Sharkia also conducted an inspection visit to the Cooperative Society for Livestock Development in the village of Hanna Marham to follow up on the cattle fattening project, considered one of the productive projects aimed at supporting the livestock sector and maximizing the use of local resources. The governor reviewed the project's components, breeding and feeding methods, and growth rates within the project, listening to a detailed explanation from Engineer Emad Mohamed Ganjan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, about the society's capabilities.

Governor of Al-Sharkia was reassured about the regularity of the work of supplying, receiving and storing wheat, and listened to a detailed explanation from Engineer El-Sayed Harzallah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, about the stages of receiving wheat from farmers up to the final storage stage inside Abu Hammad silo in Al-Qurain.

Governor of Al-Sharkia stressed to the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Supply the need to intensify daily monitoring and control within storage sites, and to continuously review the work system, to ensure the achievement of the target quantities of supply during the current season, while expediting the disbursement of financial dues to suppliers in support and encouragement of them to continue supplying regularly.
