Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, followed up with the heads of centers, cities and districts via video conference from the National Emergency and Public Safety Network Control Center at General Diwan. He reviewed the progress of the "door-to-door" campaigns aimed at raising awareness among citizens who built illegal buildings and urging them to expedite the completion of their reconciliation files, in accordance with the rules of the new Reconciliation Law No. 187 of 2023.
The governor emphasized to the heads of centers, cities and districts the importance of their on-site presence among citizens to provide the necessary guidance and explain the facilitations which are offered by the state to legalize their situations, while taking the decisive legal procedures against those who do not comply.
The governor stressed to the heads of centers and cities the necessity of intensifying direct awareness campaigns which target the owners of the violating properties, urging them to quickly begin the reconciliation procedures. He emphasized the need to issue the final warnings to the residents of these properties, urging them to visit the relevant technology centers to legalize their status before the deadlines, in order to avoid the legal action that could include the removal and disconnection of the public utilities.
