Title:Al-Sharkia Governor attends the activities of first edition of the "Employment Week for Technical Education Graduates" forum, held at the World Trade Center in Cairo.

This morning, Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, inaugurated the first edition of the "Employment Week for Technical Education Graduates" forum, held under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Federation of Egyptian Industries, and the National Employment Initiative.

The forum is taking place from April 26 to 29, 2026, at the World Trade Center in Cairo. Also in attendance were Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education; Professor Dr. Hossam El-Din Abdel Fattah, Governor of Qalyubia; Dr. Regina Kwalmann, Director of the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ); and a number of leaders from the Ministry of Education, representatives of international organizations, and industry federations. Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, explained that the forum is not merely an event but a message emphasizing the necessity of bridging the gap between education and employment.

He added that it also sends a message that technical education in Egypt is no longer a parallel track but has become a fundamental pillar of national development.

He noted that this meeting holds particular significance as it marks the launch of the initiative for the first time at the central level of the Ministry, reflecting the priority the Ministry places on this issue.

He pointed out that nearly 15,000 job opportunities are being offered today to graduates of technical education across various specializations, This reflects the industrial sector's confidence in the graduates' capabilities and confirms the transition from the discussion phase to the implementation phase. The Minister of Education and Technical Education affirmed that graduates of technical education now possess skills that qualify them not only to enter the labor market but also to contribute to its growth and development.

In his speech, Governor of Sharqia praised the role of the Ministry of Education and Technical Education in launching the first job fair, which reflects the Ministry's commitment to developing technical education and linking it to the needs of the labor market.

He noted that this is an important step towards improving the public perception of technical education and enhancing society's confidence in the capabilities of its graduates, who are considered essential to supporting comprehensive development plans.

The Governor emphasized that the broad participation of industrial and private sector institutions in the fair reflects a growing awareness of the importance of technical education and its role in providing qualified personnel to meet the needs of various productive sectors.

He added that these events open up real opportunities for employment and training for young people, contributing to better preparing them for integration into the labor market and achieving a more stable professional future.
