Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, affirmed that the governorate spares no effort in providing all means of facilitation and support and in working to remove all the obstacles that may face establishing the development and service projects. This aims to improve the level of the provided services and achieve comprehensive development in various sectors.

The Governor of Al-Sharkia instructed Engineer Lobna Abdel Aziz, the Deputy Governor, to travel to Abu Hammad City and District to conduct the necessary inspections of a plot of state-owned land (under the jurisdiction of the Agricultural Extension Authority) in preparation for its handover to the Ministry of Health for the construction of Abu Hammad General Hospital. She was accompanied by members of the committee formed under the chairmanship of Dr. Alaa Azzouz, Head of the Agricultural Extension Sector and including the Deputy Governor, Engineer Sami Moagel, Head of Abu Hammad City and District and representatives from both the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Health.

The committee immediately proceeded to the site to conduct an on-site inspection. The site was then handed over to the representatives of Al-Sharkia Governorate and the Ministry of Health and Population, as a step for the Engineering Authority to begin the necessary technical investigations to determine the site's suitability for the project, in accordance with all the applicable laws and regulations.

From their side, Members of Parliament expressed their gratitude to the Ministers of Agriculture and Health, the Governor of Al-Sharkia, his deputy and members of AL-Sharkia executive body for their cooperation and facilitation in finalizing all the necessary procedures for the establishment of Abu Hammad General Hospital. This hospital will contribute in improving the level of medical services which are provided to citizens and will have benefit for the residents of Abu Hammad and neighboring districts.

Al-Ashmouni said: “We spare no effort in establishing service projects to achieve comprehensive development on the land of the governorate and we provide all the facilities and support to remove any obstacles that may facing the development and service projects.” He pointed out that the procedures for inspection and handing over the land belonging to the Agricultural Extension Authority to establish the new Abu Hammad General Hospital have begun, as an essential step to improve the health system in the governorate through the combined efforts of all the state institutions and full coordination to ensure the provision of the best level of medical services in a decent and sustainable manner for the people of Abu Hammad Center and its dependencies and neighboring centers.
