Engineer Hazem El-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia conducted an inspection visit to monitor the ongoing paving and development works on the 5-kilometer-long Manasterly/Abu Kabir road, at a cost of 20 million Egyptian pounds as a part of Al-Sharkia Roads and Transportation Directorate's plan for the current fiscal year 2025/2026.
Engineer Ahmed Fawzy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Roads and Transportation in Al-Sharkia, provided the Governor with a detailed explanation of the completed work. He noted that 70% of the paving works on the 5-kilometer stretch has been completed, at a cost of 20 million Egyptian pounds, within the current fiscal year's allocated budget. He emphasized to adher to the standard technical specifications in the road paving works to ensure the public safety.
The Governor instructed Mr. Sayed Abdel-Razek, Head of Abu Kabir Center, to remove all the obstacles that may face the implementing companies and to expedite the completion of the work according to the established timeline. This will allow the road to be opened to traffic as soon as possible, in order to facilitate the movement of the vehicles.
