Title:Deputy Governor held a coordination meeting with the head of World Art Forum for Development Foundation

Engineer Lobna Abdel Aziz, Deputy Governor, held a coordination meeting with Ms. Randa Fouad, President and Founder of World Art Forum for Development Foundation, to discuss ways to maximize the use of art forum in papyrus production. Dr. Rasha Hassan, Director of the Regional Tourism Promotion Authority in Sharqia, was also present at the meeting, which took place at the Deputy Governor's office in the Governorate building.

During the meeting, the Deputy Governor emphasized the Governorate's commitment to strengthening fruitful cooperation and building effective partnerships with various stakeholders to support traditional crafts and handicrafts that reflect the Governorate's cultural identity. She also stressed the importance of maximizing their sustainable use to contribute to the local economy.

For her part, Ms. Randa Fouad, President and Founder of the International Forum for Fine Arts for Development, explained that the Foundation is registered under number (7311) with the Giza Directorate of Social Solidarity.

The Foundation works to utilize arts and cultural research as effective tools for achieving sustainable development by linking heritage to the creative economy and strengthening the role of local communities in preserving cultural identity. The head of the foundation added that she looks forward to cooperating with Sharqia Governorate, considering it one of the governorates that possesses distinguished heritage and historical assets, most notably papyrus making, which is a historical symbol linked to Egyptian identity. She pointed to the importance of highlighting the village of Qaramous as a distinctive tourist and cultural destination, given its status as a major center for papyrus making in Egypt.

The deputy governor explained the importance of strengthening cooperation between the governorate and civil society organizations to support local heritage through the implementation of joint artistic and cultural events and promotional activities that contribute to raising awareness of the rich heritage, historical, and cultural assets of the governorate.

The deputy governor emphasized the importance of supporting local communities by linking traditional crafts to the creative economy, which opens up opportunities for creating new jobs for the governorate's residents, as well as exchanging expertise and building capacities in the fields of heritage preservation and the arts, and promoting sustainable development.
