Al-Sharqia Governor Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouni confirmed the completion of repair, maintenance, and upgrade works on Al-Saghah, Bordeen, Abu Al-Akhdar, and Al-Mashrou' bridges in Zagazig city. This is part of the governorate's plan to maintain the efficiency of its infrastructure, ensure public safety, and facilitate traffic flow.
The governor praised the significant efforts of the Ministry of Transport, led by Minister of Transport, Lieutenant General Kamel El-Wazir, in supporting projects to develop and improve the efficiency of roads and bridges in the governorate. He also commended the ministry's rapid response and immediate handling of any issues or emergencies that may arise on the bridges and main roads.
The governor lauded the Ministry of Transport's swift response and immediate commencement of repair and maintenance works, adhering to the highest technical and engineering standards and ensuring high efficiency. This guarantees the continued efficiency of these bridges, enhances public safety, and maintains the smooth flow of traffic.
Al-Sharkia Governor coordinated with the Minister of Transport to expedite the assignment of bridge repair and maintenance work within the governorate to a specialized company affiliated with the Ministry. This followed the completion of necessary technical inspections of the bridges, and maintenance work commenced immediately, adhering to approved technical and engineering standards and specifications to ensure their continued efficiency and the safety of their users.
Governor of Al-Sharkia emphasized that the governorate spares no effort in promptly addressing any emergency or problem affecting roads and bridges, and in taking the necessary measures to carry out maintenance and development work.
