In implementation of the instructions of Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Ghorab, Governor of Al Sharkia, to the heads of centers, cities, and neighborhoods to raise the level of maximum preparations, especially in the vicinity of churches, places of worship, and monasteries, coinciding with the celebration of Christmas, stressing the intensification of cleaning campaigns in the streets, public parks, and gardens, raising occupancy, ensuring that lighting poles are illuminated and working efficiently, and removing any waste accumulated in celebration areas and around places of worship, churches, monasteries, and the streets leading to them. The governor directed the executive agencies to coordinate with security forces and traffic police to develop a plan to secure the vicinity of churches and places of worship, and to take all necessary measures and procedures to secure vital facilities to ensure the safety of citizens, preserve religious facilities, and provide the necessary atmosphere to spend the holidays in parks and gardens in an atmosphere of joy and happiness. The governor also ordered to raise the degree of preparedness in all hospitals and health units within the governorate, ensure the availability of medicines and supplies in emergency departments, and the availability of blood bags and blood products in blood banks, and prevent vacations in hospitals throughout the celebration period, stressing the intensification of oversight campaigns on food service outlets in stores, restaurants, bakeries, slaughterhouses, and food preservation refrigerators. In implementation of the directives of the governor, the executive agencies went to all areas and streets surrounding the churches to remove the accumulations of garbage and spills, spray water in the streets, and review and maintain the lighting poles to create the appropriate atmosphere for citizens to celebrate Christmas in an atmosphere of joy and reassurance.
