This was followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Sheikh Mohamed Mohamed Kamel, and religious supplications and praises of the Prophet by Sheikh Ibrahim Mohamed Salem, Director of Belbeis Endowments Department, which were well-received by all those present.
During the celebration, Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Hamed, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments, delivered a speech congratulating those present on the anniversary of the Night Journey and Ascension.
He stated that the Night Journey and Ascension was a compensation for the Prophet for the hardships he faced in spreading the message of God. He added that we should learn great lessons from it, such as that with hardship comes ease, and after difficulty comes relief. He emphasized the importance of working diligently and striving to overcome challenges and trials in order to build the nation we dream of, a nation that provides a dignified life for our children and future generations.
The governor also congratulated the people of the governorate on the occasion of the Night Journey and Ascension, saying: "I extend my sincerest congratulations..." My heartfelt congratulations to you, the great Egyptian people, and the entire Islamic and Arab nation on this blessed and cherished occasion. I pray that God protects Egypt, its leadership, and its great people from all strife and evil, and that He grants us all success in continuing the journey of building and progress.
The governor pointed out that one of the lessons learned from the Isra and Mi'raj (Night Journey and Ascension) is that after hardship comes ease, and after toil comes bounty. This compels us to persevere in our efforts, diligence, and patience, praying to God for success and prosperity for ourselves, our people, and our beloved Egypt.
At the end of the celebration, the governor called upon the people of the governorate to stand united behind the political leadership and to continue working diligently and resolutely to complete the journey of building and development that the country is witnessing. He prayed to God Almighty to protect Egypt from all harm and evil, and to bestow upon its people further security, stability, and prosperity. |
