Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, inaugurated the one-day market located in front of Al-Nasr Mosque in Deirb Negm. The market offers a wide range of food products and household necessities, in accordance with the directives of the political leadership to provide goods and food items at reduced prices for citizens in anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan.
The governor inspected the exhibition, which includes 36 stalls and covers an area of 350 m2. Major retail chains are participating, offering large quantities of food, essential goods, and meat at prices 25% to 30% lower than those in the market. The market will remain open throughout the holy month of Ramadan.
Continuing his inspection tour today in Dierb Negm district, Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, visited the site to monitor the paving and interlocking tile installation work underway in the streets of the eastern and southern neighborhoods of Dierb El-Balad. This project is part of the district's investment plan and has a total cost of 5.5 million Egyptian pounds.
During the tour, Mr. Ahmed Dahy, Head of Dierb Negm City Council, provided the Governor with a detailed explanation of the ongoing work. He explained that the interlocking tile installation in the streets of the eastern and southern neighborhoods of Dierb El-Balad is 80% complete.
The governor also inspected the development and beautification work at the gate on the Dierb Negm/Mit Ghamr road, which is being implemented at a cost of one million Egyptian pounds and is 85% complete. This includes the installation of 20 light poles and the creation of several murals with the participation of civil society, contributing to an aesthetically pleasing and modern look that reflects the city's positive image to residents and visitors.
Sharkia Governor stressed to the head of the center the need to remove all obstacles in front of the implementing companies in order to quickly bring the projects into service according to the specified timetable to achieve maximum benefit for citizens in order to improve the level of services provided to them. |
