As part of the state's comprehensive and sustainable development plan being implemented in all governorates and in light of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy's work program to support, develop, modernize and strengthen the unified grid to accommodate the increased loads and new generation capacities, provide the necessary electricity supply for all uses and improve the quality of supply, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, accompanied by Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmouni, Governor of Al-Sharkia, conducted an on-site visit to Zagazig transformer station. During the visit, they inspected the station's various sections, witnessed the voltage setting, the energizing of the power supply and its connection to the unified grid, as a part of supporting the necessary electricity supply for the central Delta governorates and agricultural and industrial development projects.

Dr. Esmat also ensured the proper functioning of the distribution networks and transmission lines at various voltage levels and followed up on the progress of the projects to provide electricity to several areas, as part of the national grid's preparations to meet the anticipated increase in loads and consumption during the upcoming summer season.
