🔹 Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Sharkia Governor, along with the heads of districts, cities, and neighborhoods, and members of the Supreme Elections Committee, oversaw the closing of polling stations in all electoral committees for the second round of the 2025 House of Representatives elections. The meeting took place in the General Office's meeting hall, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Moaty, Deputy Governor; Major General Abdel-Ghaffar El-Deeb, Secretary-General of the Governorate; Brigadier General Ahmed Shaaban, Military Advisor to the Governorate; Mr. Hesham Abdel-Maqsoud, Director of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network Control Center; and members of the Supreme Elections Committee.
🔹The governor also monitored the sealing of ballot boxes with secure coded locks by the presiding judges and ensured that the vote counting process had commenced within the same polling stations. This was done in the presence of supervisory committees, candidates' representatives, observers from civil society organizations, and journalists and media personnel. He emphasized that the governorate's executive bodies maintained impartiality towards all candidates and fully adhered to the regulations of the National Elections Authority.

🔹The governor was keen to communicate with the operations rooms of the Cabinet and the Ministry of Local Development to confirm the closure of all polling stations at the time set by the National Elections Authority, 9:00 PM. He also conveyed a message of reassurance that the elections proceeded smoothly throughout the second and final day without any complaints or obstacles for voters.
