🔹 Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, monitored the closing of ballot boxes at all polling stations on the first day of the runoff elections for the second phase of the 2025 House of Representatives elections from inside the main operations room at the Governorate headquarters. Also present were Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Moaty, Deputy Governor; Major General Abdel-Ghaffar El-Deeb, Secretary-General of the Governorate; Brigadier General Ahmed Shaaban, Military Advisor to the Governorate; Mr. Hisham Abdel-Maqsoud, Director of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network Control Center; and members of the Supreme Elections Committee. 🔹The governor confirmed that the electoral process began today at the time set by the National Elections Authority, starting at 9:00 AM, under full judicial supervision. The polling stations closed at 9:00 PM after all voters present had cast their ballots, without any complaints being received regarding the conduct of the elections. From inside the National Emergency and Public Safety Network Control Center at the Governorate headquarters... 🔹The governor was keen to communicate with the operations rooms of the Cabinet and the Ministry of Local Development to confirm the smooth running of the elections on their first day and the closing of the polling stations at the scheduled time of 9:00 PM. He emphasized that the executive bodies in the governorate maintained impartiality towards all candidates and that their role in the House of Representatives elections was limited to completing the preparation and readiness of the polling stations, providing logistical support to those in charge, ensuring the comfort of citizens while casting their votes, and adhering to the regulations of the National Elections Authority. 🔹 The governor praised the outstanding organization and the citizens’ keenness to participate in casting their votes and choosing their representatives in parliament to complete the process of building and development that the country is witnessing, praying to God Almighty to protect Egypt and its people from all harm and evil.
