🔹 Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, led a large-scale campaign to remove all encroachments, illegal structures, and street vendors, starting from Orabi Square and Tunnel, in front of the White Palace, and extending to the fish market in Zagazig. The campaign aimed to facilitate the movement of citizens, improve traffic flow, and restore the city's civilized and aesthetic appearance. The Director of the Public Utilities Police and the Chief of the First Zagazig Police Station were also present.
The governor tasked Mr. Shaaban Abu El-Fotouh, head of the Zagazig City Council, Mr. Abdel-Aati Abdel-Fattah, head of the First District, and Mr. Mohamed Abu Hashem, head of the Second District, with the participation and support of the Hehia City Council and the Qanayat City Council, and using the governorate's rapid intervention equipment, to remove all encroachments, stands, sidewalks, and awnings illegally erected above shops, and to disconnect illegal electrical connections. He stressed the need to review the licenses granted to the owners and to prohibit any activity from taking place until the legal status is rectified in accordance with legal requirements and regulations.
He added: "We will not tolerate anyone who attempts to reinstate these encroachments. The executive authorities are working around the clock to enforce order on the streets and protect citizens' rights to a safe and organized environment."
🔹 The governor affirmed that the street belongs to the citizens and that no encroachments that obstruct traffic or mar the city's appearance will be permitted. He emphasized that these campaigns are part of a comprehensive plan to eliminate the phenomenon of street encroachments and improve the level of services provided to the governorate's residents.
