Title:Sharkia Governor Honors Sports Champions from the Directorates of Youth and Sports and Education

🔷 Eng. Hazem El-Ashmouny, Governor of Sharkia, attended the ceremony organized by the governorate to honor sports champions from the Directorates of Youth and Sports and Education who won local and international championships in individual and team sports. They were presented with certificates of appreciation to encourage them to continue winning continental and international championships and raising Egypt's name high in international arenas. The ceremony was held in the meeting hall at the governorate headquarters. The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem of the Arab Republic of Egypt, followed by a speech from the Governor of Sharqia, who expressed his pride in the honorable sporting achievements of the governorate's champions. He emphasized his full commitment to providing them with all means of support and care, and removing any obstacles to practicing sports, given its importance in developing physical health and mental abilities, promoting a spirit of competition, and discovering talent. El-Ashmouny added that the governorate boasts shining examples of athletes who have raised Egypt's name high in international sporting events. He praised the outstanding level of the governorate's individual and team sports champions, who have won championships and achieved top rankings at the local, continental, and global levels. ▪ For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education thanked the Governor of Sharqia for his continuous support of school athletes and his keenness to honor the Sharqia junior team (boys and girls) affiliated with the Directorate. The team won first and second place in the Republic Schools Championship and qualified to participate in the North African Championship. The Governor presented them with certificates of appreciation, reflecting the state's interest, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in sports and developing the capabilities of young people within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030. ▪ The governor also honored player Mohamed Mohamed Ali, who won second place in the chess tournament at the FIDIA Paralympic Games held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from November 17-25, 2025, by awarding him a certificate of appreciation. ▪ The governor also honored Mr. Mohamed Ramadan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, and Ms. Doaa Zakaria, Director General of Executive Affairs at the Directorate of Education, by awarding them a certificate of appreciation, for the effort made and continuous support during the preparation and training period of the Sharqia Junior Team (boys - girls), which resulted in their winning advanced positions in the Republic Football Championship and their qualification to participate in the North African Schools Football Championship.
